Hosted by New York AREA, Dr. Patrick Moore and Council Member Dilan, Chairman of the Housing and Buildings Committee, held a public symposium on measures that can be taken to improve building efficiency as well as the current situation regarding energy in New York City. Included in this discussion were topics such as the most efficient renewable sources of energy, including clean sources of energy for New York City such as Indian Point. Dr. Moore was also on hand to help announce a $9 million dollar grant secured by Council Member Dilan for investment in a green buildings initiative project that will provide energy upgrades for affordable housing units throughout
the city.
