May 14, 2008 - Independent Power Producers of
New York Annual Spring Conference
On Wednesday, May 14 The Independent Power Producers of New York held their 22nd Annual Spring Conference entitled, "The Next Generation of Power: The Future of Energy Policy and Investment". The conference touched upon key issues, such as developing a New York State Energy Plan; the need to balance energy, the environment, and economic development; and the preferred methods of meeting the state’s growing energy needs.
Both the State Senate and Assembly Energy Committee Chairs spoke as well as PSC Commissioner Garry Brown, NYS Secretary of Energy Paul DeCotis, American Wind Energy Policy Director Rob Gramlich and representatives from JP Morgan Chase, NRG, and the Natural Resource Defense Council.
